What is a Headshot, exactly?

While a portrait may capture the subject from the waist up, or even be a full-body shot, a headshot is typically all about the face.

Another important difference is that headshot photography tends to be used for more professional purposes, like corporate headshots and professional headshots for actors, while portraits might be a little more artistic or casual. Of course, this isn’t a firm rule, which is why it’s so important to make sure you prepare properly and understand what your goal is and where the image will be used.

What are styles/looks?

“Styles”/Looks are your wardrobe, background and lighting changes. You may omit auxiliary items such as jackets or glasses without it counting as a different look. Minimum booking is set two styles per session. I do not do single-style headshots.

Where will the headshots be taken?

All headshots will be taken in a Photography Studio with full use of natural and artificial lighting and backgrounds.

Do I need a makeup artist?

You are, of course, welcome to personally apply your own makeup. However, I do highly recommend utilizing this service, especially for women. My makeup artist will be present during the entire shoot to provide touch ups, make sure hair is in place, and keep you looking your best! We will discuss, prior to the appointment, how you normally do your hair and makeup to ensure that we obtain an appropriate style for our session. I encourage you to reach out to me ahead of time, should you have any special concerns or qualifications. If you have a makeup artist already, make sure that you come to the shoot headshot ready, and your artist can apply touch ups in between shoots and changes.

After my shoot?

Following your session with me, you will receive an email with a link to an online gallery of your headshots. You will be able to select 3 and 5 images to be retouched. You will then receive the final products within 1-2 weeks.

How many photos will I get?

You will get anywhere from 3 to 5 best, retouched images in high-res jpegs from the shoot.

Can I have all the photos un-retouched?

I release all the best, un-retouched images in high-res jpegs. However, I don't recommend using any un-retouched photos for professional use or promotion of your brand. I offer retouches. You can pay an additional amount if you'd like to get any photos retouched. 

Do you have a waiting list?

Yes! Once you book a date please let me know if you also want to be added to the waiting list for another date.  If another client has to cancel or reschedule then we will notify clients on the list in the order they were added, and you will be offered the chance to schedule your photoshoot earlier.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes! A deposit is required. However, in order to confirm the shoot and hold the requested time, both a deposit and receipt of the photography agreement is required.  The photography agreement is sent to all clients once an agreement is reached on the details of the photoshoot. A deposit of 50% of the portrait fee and a signed copy of this agreement are required to reserve a photoshoot. Postponements or cancellations require a 3-day notice.  Changes made in less than three days will result in a loss of the deposit.  Our full agreement terms can be viewed here.


When will I receive my order?

All unframed prints will ship out by Friday of the week print was purchased. For all orders received on Friday we try our best to ship out same-day but cannot make any promises. In that case, orders placed on Friday will ship out the following week. Please see the individual product page on our website for available shipping options and speeds. Please note orders that are placed during a week of a bank holiday will be delayed by a couple of days. For all framed orders, please allow 2–3 weeks until shipment. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept PayPal only.

Do you ship internationally?

Shipping internationally is not possible. All products are only able to be shipped and sell within Europe.

Do you ship worldwide?

All prints are able to be shipped within Europe only. We are able to deliver framed photography within most of the Europe.

What is your return policy?

IrrA's prints are returnable within 5 days of delivery. Funds will be credited in the form of a merchandise credit.

  • Return process must be initiated within 5 days of delivery by contacting: office.studioproduction@gmail.com
  • Products must be returned unopened, undamaged & in original packaging.
  • Framed & unframed prints must be returned undamaged & in original packaging.
  • Return shipping label will be provided. Shipping charges will be deducted from merchandise credit. Items must be return shipped within 48 hours of label receipt.
  • 30% restocking fee applies to all returned framed photography.

All IrrA's prints and products purchased through 3rd party vendors are non-exchangeable and non-returnable through our site. Please refer to the 3rd party vendor's terms and conditions for any issues with your order. 

Do you offer framing?

Yes! Convenient, shipped to your door, framing is only available for "small", "medium" and "large" size prints. Framing is available for all orders within most European countries. Framing is not available internationally.

Do you offer repairs to damaged frames?

No. If your item is damaged please contact office.studioproduction@gmail.com within 14 days of your order. We do not repair wear and tear on framed prints past 14 days. Visit our Guest Services page here for more information.

What are the dimensions of the border around the image? 


All 19" x 13" prints have an approximate 0.75" border. The image size is 17.2" x 11.5". The signature and edition are under the image in the white border. This information is also detailed in the shop.

All 44" x 32" prints have an approximate 4" border. The image size is 36" x 24". The signature and edition are under the image in the white border. This information is also detailed in the shop.

Most 60" x 40" prints have an approximate 4" border. The image size is 56" x 36". The signature and edition are under the image in the white border. This information is also detailed in the shop.

Will my print be signed and/or editioned? 

All pieces are available as limited editions. All prints ordered will be signed by the photographer. Every edition comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity signed by IrrA, guaranteeing the exclusivity of the piece as a work of art you own.

Editions are as follows: Small (between 25 - 10) Medium (5 - 10), Large (3 - 10) and where available, XL (3 - 7). The number depends on the piece. Exact dimensions of each piece are noted in the 'info' section of each image in the gallery. Please refer to the shop for specifics on the print you wish to purchase.

What if my order is lost? 

If by chance a package is lost in transit we are happy to work with you to resolve the issue but we kindly ask that you report it to the carrier before reaching out to office.studioproduction@gmail.com
